The concept of Rule of Five has been revelatory. Generally speaking, I’ve always been a good buyer - but have definitely relied too much on fast fashion. And it’s so true that the stuff that gets tossed at the end of the season or year, is ALWAYS the H&M, Zara, Nordstrom sale, etc. and clearly I’ve wasted a shitload of money! The idea that I can focus my attention on what I have and then have goals for FIVE amazing things is exciting!!! It’s like a contest as to what will make the list. I’m a fall/winter girl, so the next few months should be a breeze til August hits!

I love that so much and completely agree that it's better to invest in the best version of something you want than to waste money on cheaper versions that won't last/ever really look right. Please keep me posted on how it goes!

I have only you to thank for owning the *dare I say* best sweater of all time ... baba no. 17 in my heart FOREVER ❤️. The brown looks amazing on you and that grey combo. You killed it! Let’s chat about color season diagnosis lol

I love the long skirt and sweater look! I’m inspired to replicate. I am pondering whether I should add a Babaa to my five things in 2024...?

I love a long and slouchy silhouette and do find the babaa turtleneck works really well in achieving that, especially with its lengthening high neck. (On a side note -- so inspired by the idea of adding only 5 things in a year. Great way to avoid purchasing clothing that will ultimately go unworn.) Do you have any of the 5 items picked out yet?

do you jog in the snow? and can you say more about how to do so without slipping?? runner of 15+ years here 🙋🏻‍♀️in a winter climate and despite LOVING the cold, i’m scared every time it snows! i do have corkers running cleats which help, but still...

I’ve been jogging carefully in the snow by using Yaktrax spikes on my sneakers. I only do it on days when I have the patience lol because it’s a lot of work mentally and physically to watch the sidewalk/be careful stepping in drifts and avoiding slipping. I won’t do it if it’s super icy, then I’ll turn around and go to the gym instead. I love being outside in the snow so it’s nice when I can do it but there are definitely aspects to it that are kind of a pain! There’s also a big cemetery near me that is a good snowy running path because the roads winding through the cemetery are plowed but sparsely populated by cars. I’m also not a fast runner and don’t really care about my speed so I don’t mind just slowly jogging along. ❄️

love it. a slow slog through a snowy cemetery sounds incredible (truly!). my town is full of steep hills and fast cars, so i think you've inspired me to find a new running location for snowy days.
